Description of Services Fundamental Truths What it Takes to win the lowest tax

The Process

With the initial engagement of any new client, Equitax goes about the process of learning all that is necessary to define the set of assets. At the same time, we teach our clients the fundamentals of what we've learned about winning lower property tax valuation, and help them assimilate our methods and point of view. With the same goals in mind we work together to better progress cases.

Equitax provides two primary functions for client-taxpayers:

Appraisal valuation and protest services.

Equitax reviews all real and business personal property assets of the taxpayer-client to determine the achievable level of valuation in comparison with County Appraisal District-derived assessments. Equitax prepares reports and renders real and BPP accounts where necessary and appropriate. Equitax informs and enlightens the client to potential savings and outlines a strategy for achieving those values and savings. The Equitax staff administers the strategy through an innovative and thorough presentation at the CAD hearing level and works toward achieving maximum potential savings. Pursuant to the Appraisal Review Board (ARB) decision, Equitax officers will assist in the engagement and management of third party contractors and lawyers to further apply the Equitax case in mediation or in court.

Tax compliance, tax bill payment and audit services.

Equitax will record in its data base and proprietary tax bill management program all of our taxpayer-client's tax accounts and associated jurisdictions in order to keep the taxpayer in timely compliance with all tax laws and payments. Equitax will issue tax payment reports by client property ID order and by assessor order to provide a permanent record for our client’s analysis and to advise tax collectors of payments being made. Equitax will review our client’s tax records to ascertain accuracy and to seek refunds and corrections where due and appropriate. Where our client is a tenant in a third party property, Equitax will audit bills for accuracy and resolve conflicts where found. Equitax will identify, audit, recover, and deliver all refunds earned through Equitax-managed hearings and litigation.
